Mourning Winnie-Lou.

We were at the hospital till about nine last night. *sigh* With all the deaths of friends and family members I've had, Jeremy and I have never experienced a grandparent's death.

Winnie-Lou is just short of 84 years (April 3rd). She's been married for 67 years. I don't think she's rested in 67 years... before yesterday. She's in a coma, and she won't be waking up. She will be going to Heaven... soon.

Watching somebody die has to be one of the most horrible experiences. I had nightmares all night. I woke up feeling like I was hit by a car.

I want to remember her like this... with Morgan on Thanksgiving. I want the images of her in that hospital to be completely gone. And forever in my head, I want her to be laughing with her great grandson.

Thinking of you, Rey! I'm sure Winnie-Lou was as beautiful as her name!
